Meet your instructor:
Monica Fredericksdorf
Hi, I'm Monica, founder of Pilatseas! I've been practicing Pilates for over six years and completed my comprehensive 500-hour certification through Pilates Body Center, one of the most respected Pilates training programs in the region. Their program has trained hundreds of instructors and provided me with a strong foundation in movement, anatomy, and helping clients of all experience levels move with confidence.
When I signed up for my first Pilates class in 2020 with my Mom, I found a workout that I genuinely enjoyed and could actually stay consistent with. It became so much more than exercise for me. Through movement, breath work, posture, strength, mobility, and mind-body connection, Pilates has played the most important role in my own wellness journey and continues to shape the way I approach health, movement, and daily life.
Long before Pilatseas, I spent my summers and weekends at my Grandmother's house in North Wildwood surrounded by family, cousins, and made most of my favorite memories. Early morning walks, long beach days, boat rides, trips to the boardwalk, and simply spending time with the people I love taught me to appreciate the slower pace — and strong sense of local community — that make the shore so special.
Pilatseas was created to bring these two passions together: mindful movement and life by the ocean. My goal is to create welcoming experiences that help people feel strong, connected, and present. I believe life's best moments happen when you slow down, take a deep breath, and "be where your feet are".
I want you to leave my class feeling accomplished, reset, and with a stronger mind-body connection.
